I bought this set because I'm still learning to knit and wanted a more complete set than what I learned. I have two pairs of aluminum needles that I prefer but can't find a set for a reasonable price. That's why I ordered these. Immediately after that I notice that the little needles are really bent, I have the feeling I'm about to break them off. Larger sizes are slightly stronger. The needles themselves aren't entirely smooth either, I haven't used them yet, but I don't think that will be a big problem. I bought this set as a starter kit for myself and for that I would recommend it. As I become a more serious knitter I will eventually switch to an all aluminum kit, which I like.
