Review on August Smart Connect Satin Nickel by Bryan King

Well the ratings are pretty accurate. August's smart lock works well and works well manually, with an app, and the auto lock feature works. BUT don't plan on using the August Connect more than 8 inches from the castle lol 15 feet my ass. Normally I would give this one more than 1 star because part of it works great BUT I only bought it for the AUTO UNLOCK feature and it's useless. It only worked ONCE and I had to stand outside the door like an idiot for over 5 minutes for it to "automatically open" my door. I use Google Wi-Fi which is a mesh network and pretty much the new standard and I have plenty of signal everywhere and the connection is 7ft 4in from a door that connects to a hallway wall. I only used the extender as a test and it gets a "good" signal about 10 inches from the lock. It's nice to know that the August Boys saved a lot of money at the round table when they decided to put cheap cards and hardware into Connect, but good reviews and sales would make up a few pennies more invested in this product became. . I would pay more for better quality. This is a smart home product, if you can't afford it, don't buy it :) I'm not the only one buyer, be careful. And where is the support number for August? I can't find it anywhere.
