This microscope stand works exactly how I wanted it to, with two exceptions. Vertical control must be used with care. You'll need to hold the microscope while making adjustments so it doesn't roll away and hit the base. Therefore, hold the microscope or at least one of the setting wheels before loosening them for adjustment. In addition, the base may be a little wider. The stand can easily be knocked over, especially if it contains a microscope. An extra inch or 2 on each side will solve this problem.
