If you're wondering if this material can be used to clear coat your firearms, the answer is yes! It is very easy to work with and can be applied by hand or airbrush. I simply applied this material to the guns by hand before applying the waterslide decals and have had great results. I didn't notice any obvious brush marks, so it seems to align well. Start with a light coat and work your way up. You end up with a nice shiny sheath around your gun that protects it from harsh paint and line wash and helps prevent silver plating on your water slides. It's also easy to remove if you're unhappy with the application for any reason. I chipped it off on a small area of my chest with a toothpick and then with some effort wiped it off with a paper towel with Windex on it. Oh, it smells good too!
