I live on wheels and work on my wifi jetpack every day. I rely on various boosters and repeaters. I've had two of these and they work but are a nuisance and break easily. First, the cord is so long and doesn't hold together that it's just annoying. The suction cup does not stick, keeps falling off. It amplifies the signal in most situations. If someone says it makes it worse, then yes, that might be why there are different antennas for different applications. Read some blogs about how Wi-Fi works. Finally the thing broke again. Same problem. The ts9 connectors have detached from the wires and are detaching. I was gentle this time too. This time I bought this amp and I wish I had done it many years ago. It boosts the signal a lot, the suction cups really work, and the cord is a little shorter and neater. Complete life changer. Be sure to get this other one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DN3J03O?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
