I had to run HeadLOK pan head screws into pieces of bubing and rock maple. I wasn't sure what the exact head size of the HeadLOK lugs was and when I measured them I thought they were 16mm, but I estimated the entire set cost about double the price of a single metric Forstner bit . On closer inspection, the accuracy of fit and workmanship are good, the drill bits work without hesitation in both the cordless hand drill and the drill. The cuts are precise, the bottom is flat with clean sides. One "oddity" that struck me was the way these bits are packaged - mostly in plastic cases. They are NOT in a wooden case like my Amana SAE Forstner bits and not even in a bubble case like many of Revain's current Forstner bit sets. Individual sleeves are marked with bit size on the sides of the sleeves. This is not an elegant packaging solution. But for my needs for the odd metric Forstner bores I need, they fit the bill. I don't know about durability, and it's easy to quickly get these bits smoking in hardwood with the wrong feed rate, so start slow. Photos of how these bits are shipped. Hope that helps.
