Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Enhanced SuperSprings CSS-1168: Coil SumoSprings for Diverse Applications - 1.68" Inner Wall Height (Black) by David Weis

So far so good, there will be a real stress test soon.

2013 Ford Expedition XL 5.4L Installation was easy, I can only assume one of the few things for anyone having problems and these are: 1. People don't jack the car .2 . People don't remove the wheels.3. People don't measure a coil spring by the widest coil opening (they're not the same for every coil). Installation took about 30 minutes both sides considering I have a scissor lift in my garage so I would say it's 1 hour. 1.5 hours of work for those who use a jack and stand and/or don't have pneumatic nut tightening tools. like my assembly line and inside both the top and bottom of the sumo feather. Place it on the spool and start inserting it into the middle spool (biggest hole) and push it as I pushed it into place. You must first install the lower part of the spring and then insert the upper part that rests on the grooves. It's almost an insult to the number of zip ties they ship, there are 10 in a pack and you need at least 24 to put one in each hole. Either send enough or nothing at all, less than half is just gross. Luckily I read previous reviews complaining about this and I was prepared. My Truck โ€“ My truck has 130,000 miles of which about 35,000 are towing a 28 foot Aspen Trail trailer weighing about 800-1,000 (depending on load) on a load sharing hitch with 1200 lb springs. Expedition, contrary to what people say, it's a hitch setup, uses very low rear springs and they sag like shit, even with my 20ft boat at about 300lbs, even my raft trailer I use can lift by hand, sags. Truck approx 1/2". Road test with no load - noticeable improvement in rear end stiffness. This could be due to weakened worn springs or simply an increased spring rate. I have this truck with 30,000 miles and I don't remember it not the same improvement you might see from Hellwig stabilizers, but it's definitely there and noticeable.

Pros
  • Stabilizer Bars and Parts
Cons
  • Good but not great
