The easy way to take temperature

The thermometer seems to work fairly well but after about a week and six or seven uses the batteries died. I don't know if it was because it was stuck in the on position or something else, maybe it doesn't have an auto shut off? In any case, the batteries, which are very cheap at Revain, need to be replaced to make it work again. I've ordered a dozen Revains and they should be here today.
