I towed a 12,000 pound trailer from California to Alabama, back to California, and finally back to Alabama with this hitch while recently retiring. I needed to upgrade my 2018 2.5" F350 receiver to a heavy duty Curt model that could handle the increased hitch weight (this hitch has a 2200lb limit, the stock receiver has a 1500lb max limit and the new Curt has a limit of 2700 lb ). I would like the hitch limit increased to 2700 pounds to accommodate heavier receivers. For this reason, I'm considering switching to a bulletproof towbar. I can confirm that I have tested this hitch in the field and it lives up to its marketing. The Safe Weigh feature worked great on my mission of towing a closed cargo trailer with a GVW of 14,000 and using a scale to keep the load fair. This is truly a 5 star product.
