Works with Colorado XT/Outfitter XT AS IS

This work on my Colorado XT/Outfitter XT AS IS. I didn't have to modify the valve. The unit easily fits directly onto the pontoon valve. There is a rubber seal on the stem of the unit that enters the pontoon valve. I connected the PSI block directly to the pontoon valve and the top air connector went into the pump hose connector. Do not place the device in the direction of the pump connection! It won't work if you connect it this way. The PSI unit must approach the pontoon valve first! As you start pumping air into the pontoon you will see the valve needles move and stand still when you stop pumping them. This is a fairly accurate PSI measurement. For the Colorado XT PSI pontoon, it is recommended to inflate to 2.5psi. This makes the pontoon extremely strong and ribbed. When I didn't have that psi unit, I just had to feel it. I had to feel how hard it is and guess. Now it's scary at 2.5 PSI so I lowered the PSI to 2.16 as shown on the gauge. I'll test it with water at 2.5 pressure first and see how it handles the pressure and go to 2.5psi if there's no problem. I know it should run at 2.5 PSI with no problems, but I really don't know how accurate that PSI unit is.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE AND READ: The pressure gauge is easy to use and read with numbers and lines clearly printed. It is light and compact, portable to carry and store, convenient and practical to use.
