I bought this as a control for a hair dryer to be used as an alcohol ink art tool. The dryer's amperage would be too high for that if I was using it on high heat, but it's great on low heat or cold - giving me fine control over how hard the air is blowing onto the paper. It may seem a bit stiffer than sewing machine foot pedals, but I think it still fits a man's foot. This solves a problem that manufacturers of heat guns and embossing tools do not solve.
