First complaints. Neither of them is a deal breaker. Just something to look out for when deciding on a higher price range microscope. There are two handles, but they move together. In science class I had a coarse zoom and a fine zoom. This microscope does not have precise magnification. It's not as sharp as more expensive microscopes. Still pretty clear. Switching between 10x and 25x eyepieces is painful. This is my first desktop microscope (as opposed to a pocket microscope) and I'm actually very happy with it. I looked at tiny things floating in the pond mud, cages, lice eggs, semen, salt, sugar. If you don't have a microscope and are interested in the small world around you, this is great value for money. I don't regret my purchase at all and look forward to tomorrow.
