Review on Cardone 96-5349 Upgraded Power Steering Pump (No Reservoir) by Julio Montano

Update 2-2019: The problem was that the screw on the bottom of the block was probably not tightened when it was assembled. Check this bolt before installing it in your vehicle. First review: I bought this screw in August 2016 and it failed in March 2018. I paid extra for it thinking it would be high quality. Well it worked great for 18 months but then after only 10,000 miles it started leaking badly. I refilled the tank and found that this pump was leaking more than 1 drop per second from what looks like the bottom brass cap on the back of the pump. I can't tell exactly what the problem is until I remove it from the car, but as far as I can see it's not a hose or o-ring. But regardless of the exact location of the cable in the pump, if I remove this pump I'll turn another manufacturer's pump back on.
