I ordered this item hoping that if it doesn't fit I can send it back. I first read the product reviews and they were very helpful. We had a mini excavator at the park with a kingpin that wouldn't pick up grease no matter what we did. I had people remove and replace zerk. They tried drilling. They tried heating it, hoping it would loosen the stuck fat. So I bought it as a last resort, believing if it didn't work I would return it. I first read the instructions and used the Marvel Mystery Oil. They said piercingly but there was a lot of wonderful mystery oil in the truck as we use it for almost everything. It took me a few minutes to really get it, to deflate it. It looks like I have about half a cylinder to work with after bleeding. I grabbed my two pound hammer and started banging. Some of the fittings were leaking water from not tightening them enough when screwing the base on. Back to work. I started typing. It was messy as the pressure when tapping is very high and when the plug is clogged it has to go somewhere so it will leak out and some oil will squirt out of the piston. I've now read that people have said that a very poor fit took about fifteen minutes. After about 10 minutes or so I saw some oil seeping out of the bushing. I lasted about 5 more minutes. I've noticed a little more oil coming out of the fitting. It became noticeably easier to tap the piston. So I grabbed my pneumatic grease gun, thinking I had work to do but hoping for the best. I was totally surprised when I saw the grease coming out of the pin (sleeve). I think people who give bad reviews need this, it can be messy as the positive pressure has to go somewhere. Second, hold on. The needle I made was frozen for a year. I would say 15-20 minutes on a bad pin is common. For a stuck or clogged kingpin, it only takes once or twice as we lubricate regularly. The same with the joints. 5 stars from us and especially from all the people who tried to free him.
