Review on Prime-Line Products N 6848 Pocket Door Roller: Tri-Wheel, 1-Inch Flat Nylon Wheels (Pack of 2) - Durable Sliding Door Rollers for Smooth Operations by Kyle Robbins

Not exactly a replacement for Johnson casters

I have replaced the door pocket with similar casters. I damaged the bracket removing the old door (see below) so I ordered these (there are 2 in a pack) to replace the bracket and I also felt the new casters would be better, since removing the door is quite difficult. The bracket part was identical and works well. Unfortunately, rollers are not an exact replacement. They appear to be a bit wider which causes too much noise when running (I think the wheels are rubbing the sides of the track). So I used the old rolls and everything is fine. Note on deleting this type of videos. First you slide the nylon lock away from the bolt. Then you need to lift the door so that the latch rests on the door. This is because the screw is in a recess in the nylon inside the bracket. If the door is not raised, the latch will be very difficult to push out of the bracket. Then use a hook or similar to push the pressure roller away from the nylon lock. I actually used a 1x2 piece that fits snugly in the track to push the roller out of the mount. It would be better to have a spare so you can see how it works before attempting to remove the door.
