I have bought many 1kg spools since am Years ago from Gizmo Dorks, but I had a couple of large (50 hour+) prints and bought 2 rolls that large so I don't have to mess with changing filament. Between 20 and 30 hours the print quality dropped a lot (rough surface, spongy fill - symptom of moisture in PLA) and I had to throw the prints away (see photo) Tried my 2nd roll - had the same problem. I reprinted the same parts with Overture PLA and the results were perfect. Trying to return this item but it took 1/4-1/2 of each before there was a problem. Either way, $200 down the drain. I will either switch to Overture or if I use GizmoDorks again I will stick with the 1kg spools. As an experiment, I heated 1 bun in the oven at 170F for a couple of hours to see if I could remove some of the water. The results are awaited. You don't have to do this with a new purchase.
