I originally purchased these balls for floating water lights, as that is what popped up when I searched for pool lights. Not much in the directions online about "not" really for being in water. When you do finally get the lights, the instructions say to not leave in the water for more than 4 hours hmmmm.Screws are visible for changing the batteries, so I assume if left in the water they will rust. I am not using them for the pool; however, they do float. I will hang them up outside on the deck. One remote works well with all the lights and the colors are pretty too. Unfortunately, what I really wanted them for, floating on the pool, they will not work well. I assume if you were buying one for a baby's room they would be fine, especially if indoors. That was not my purpose for the purchase.
