Review on 🔧 Rear Leaf Spring Hanger Shackle Bracket Kit for Chevy Silverado 1999-2007/GMC Sierra 2007-2013 - Upgraded Replacement (Part #: 12474021) by Carlos Barrett

Contrary to the review by "Garys8" I was able to install it on my 2001 Chevy 2500HD. The only mod is to drill a 27/64 hole in the center front of the old leaf spring rear suspension - that's the only suspension hole that hasn't been drilled on the frame yet. Torque I used: leaf spring bolt and nut = 150 lb-ft. (Reused old) hanger bolt and nut = 49lb/ft (using included HDW8.8 which is Class 5). However, it is shorter than a real 2500HD gimbal. It has 4 holes instead of 6 holes. You simply install it in the bottom 4 holes you drilled one of before BEFORE removing the old hanger. I only installed this because 2500HD counterparts are not available anywhere! I'll install the right ones when I can buy them.
