Review on 🐠 Efficient hygger Automatic Aquarium Water Changer: 25ft, 33ft, 49ft - Siphon Fish Tank Gravel Vacuum Cleaner with Flow Control Valve and Water Hose by Erica Noble

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I ended up using it for parts

I needed a new hose and a way to connect it to a faucet inside the house instead of running the hose 50 feet to a tap outside. There were mounting options - none worked. Should have had a 3/4-27T adapter for my Delta faucet. I found them at Revain for $15 a collection, but I had the ones I needed when Lowes and Home Depot didn't. The original setup has incredible suction power. It's good. What's wrong is that no matter what I tried I couldn't stop sucking up the gravel, clogging the hopper and dumping water, rocks and debris back into the tank and all over the bottom. I have NEVER made such a mess during cleaning in the 10+ years that I have installed this tank. I've tried turning off the water, limiting the drain, everything. Luckily I have concrete floors so it wasn't a problem. I ended up attaching my old end, removing the vacuum nozzle and the part that was supposed to prevent the stones from getting into your tube. It would have been nice if I could have used a longer tube, but it was too small for the Aqueon tip. I didn't return it because 1) the parts were useful and too many pipe options had really bad reviews 2) Home Depot and Lowes have stopped selling 5/8 pipes in their individual stores. 3) The fish shop next to me charges $2 a foot per pipe. That would be $66. So it's still cheaper. I think if I had coarse gravel it would work really well. I definitely wouldn't try this if you had a sandy bottom.
