This stem gives you almost 2 full inches of vertical compared to a 90mm 6 degree stem. In other words, this 110mm stem brings the handlebars forward 90mm, as if your head tube had grown 2 slots. Light weight for what it is. I usually buy used Ritchey stems on ebay but these are almost impossible to find in 35 degrees. This stem also comes with inserts for older 25mm bars or so - I'll keep these as parts and I'm sure they'll come in handy someday. I would put something like this on a vintage late 90's MTN. Bikes like Gary Fisher or the Trek of the day - their geometry was too odd to fit a 5ft 9 man on a mandated 17 inch frame size. If this stem still doesn't fit due to insufficient vertical reinforcement, you can get a bullhorn handlebar. If still not there? Then get some old-school handlebar extensions. The decent uncut trailer itself starts at $60, even in pre-owned condition. Love your fork but want to sit more upright in the seat - here's your $20 solution.
