Glad to have a Delphi part for my Passat 03 1.8T. Mine came with an o-ring and a metal retainer. The sealing ring was plump and strong - I liked it. The retaining clip is quite stiff and installation required some effort as there were no leverage points and limited visibility during installation. I definitely recommend using a metal clip instead of a plastic clip - it's a lot safer to install. Tilt the sensor slightly towards the firewall as you begin installing the clip and this will give you the support you need to place the clip where it belongs.
