The first unit I bought broke a few weeks after installation. I'm buying a second device because I couldn't find a better one. I think the side next to the trunk opening mechanism is very weak and is kind of split and broken. The side that is on the lock with the key can be felt and doesn't usually latch, and when you try to open it with the key, that part also rotates with the lock, preventing the cable from twisting and opens the trunk. The device I ordered will be better and last longer.PD. The second one I bought broke within a few weeks of installing it. So now I am sure that this product is not very good and very poor quality.
