Review on Origin8 31698 Pulsion Locking by David Crawford

Inexpensive, reliable and high-quality pens.

I want to race cross country with my team. I have a carbon Ridley Ignite C7 that I built for myself. I'm still trying to customize the bike to my needs. I used to have ESI Chunky grips that I didn't like (too big for my hands, heavy setup). I also used their Racers Edge knobs which I didn't like either (thin, not very strong and again tedious to install). I decided to go back to the good old locks on the handles. One of my teammates has these grips and recommended them to me. Of course, lockable handles are pretty easy to install. Out of the box it was packaged decently and had no damage. The plugs were a bit difficult to insert, but now they're almost stuck (I use a Control Tech UD carbon rod, it's a bit thick on the inside). However, I noticed a problem: there was no threadlocker on the screws, so I had to remove the screws and put some blue threadlocker on them. There is usually a thread lock in the screws, hence a star deduction. It's a minor thing, I know, but I'm sure you don't want your handlebars to slide while you're riding. The screw lock is largely used for additional security. In any case, they are cheaper than many clips on the handles. They're so cheap, you can buy them with two-day delivery and still get them cheaper than the competition. I've ridden them once and they seem to be holding up well (I've had them for a week now). I've fallen too many times with these grips, they seem to be holding so I'm perfectly happy with them. I highly recommend them. buy you. You are absolutely worth it to me. Update 06/07/16: The grips are still strong, worn but understandable, I can always turn them to the best side and use them until they are fully finished. They're worn out. Some of the rubber is worn and they feel "shrunk". I've ridden them many times now and for the price they seem reliable. Only the handlebar ends seem a bit brittle, the left side broke after I leaned the bike too hard against the wall. I've had a lot of falls and hits with the bar and I'm surprised the ends never came loose.
