First, the shape is too small to hold whole slices of bacon. So you can only get 4 pieces of bacon at a time, which is not enough for a family. Yes, it will shrink after it starts cooking, but you have to roll it up a bit and that will prevent the bacon from fully cooking. Also, it takes several cooking cycles to cook the back, but then the edges are almost burnt and the center is undercooked. THEN, after the second use, the lid was deformed and was partially removed while still in the microwave. It no longer fits properly on the base. As it cools, it has partially regained its shape, but no longer lies flat on the base. I wouldn't buy it again. I've been using microwave bacon pans for a number of years and just wanted to replace the old one and try the new one at a great price. I do not recommend this model and I regret the purchase.
