I was very happy with this multiport hub from StarTech. We have a Huawei Matebook that only has a Type-C USB port for charging and connecting other devices (Huawei Signature Edition 2 in 1 PC, 128GB/Intel Core m3, Space Gray (MateBook)), so we really had to buy a docking station/hub so we can connect other USB devices to keep Huawei working for us. The only hub they offer is very expensive and also includes ports that we will never personally use (VGA, Ethernet) and only comes with 2 standard USB ports (Huawei MateDock USB-C Multiport Adapter (Black)) . So cheers to StarTech. and this excellent 4-port hub. We can connect an external DVD drive and an external hard drive for our backups, flash drives and anything else we need. The only thing this port can't do is charge our Matebook via a single Type-C USB connection on this port (I'm pretty sure this is a built in Huawei feature to sell more of their expensive docks) . However, the price of this dock/hub is high. Thank you StarTech for this great and affordable solution that I know many new thin laptop owners need. So far, every USB Type-A device we've plugged into this hub has worked flawlessly, and I've also tested the USB Type-C port by connecting my phone via an adapter cable. The doctor charged my phone and gave me access to my phone as a device. 5 Stars.
