That's how it arrived and I was disappointed because I wanted to plug my Chromecast into the power connector but I didn't have a USB-C USB cable so i have ordered one. It arrived and it still didn't work because I didn't have a USB-C power adapter. I should have known that the PD port is for incoming power (power supply, i.e. "PD" is a proper noun for capacity/compatibility, not a general description of the port), but I didn't really think so, I had other projects . Anyway, to simplify, this dongle is all you need: Plug your existing power adapter into the "PD" socket and plug the dongle's USB-C connector into the Chromecast itself. Others have said that you need a more powerful power supply, but that's not the case. my experience. Therefore, a higher speed Ethernet connection may consume more power. But you can use other blocks you have, no need USB-C power adapter!
