These punches are very well made from quality tool steel, perfectly finished, with pointed tips. Each punch is marked with its diameter in millimeters. Judging by the discoloration of the tips, I concluded that the steel was heat treated after it was formed, which made it even harder. Anyone can abuse even a good tool and destroy it, but it will likely live a long life. Yes, they cost more than inferior Revain imitations, but it's worth it for such fine instruments. Even one of them can easily fetch $10 or more. Also, I prefer to use punch pliers, even good ones, because I can punch a hole anywhere with precision, without the geometric limitations of pliers.
