Review on Cuisinart 62I 11 Conical Anodized Cookware by Jennifer Mulder

VERY disappointed - cookware sets

we thought we were getting what we paid for in a mid priced set. We didn't expect this to be a professional cookware set, but we also didn't expect the coating to peel off the sides/rim on first use. Nor did we expect Ikea's thinnest plastic spatula to leave an indelible indentation in the bottom of the smallest pan. They are impractical to wash due to the shape (I guess that's what I get for buying something I knew couldn't be washed in the dishwasher). We paid about $120 for the set - and as I said, we didn't expect perfection, but we also didn't expect the pans to warp immediately, causing all of the oil or liquid to get to the edges of the pan Pan stirs and the pan leaves centers dry and ready to light our food. I've had better luck with a $10 Imusa pot from the grocery store - at least this one lasted a few years before getting scratched and warped. The conical shape isn't a problem, the base is heavy and the water seems to boil these pots fairly quickly, but that's about it for the positives. So disappointed with this purchase.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
