Review on Efficiently Trim Cases with LEE PRECISION Quick Trim Case Trimmer by Michael Wehrman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

it works - good for airsoft

I have a brass mess for a single shot pistol and I use it for beveling the neck of a case rather than cutting it to a precise length. It does both pretty well. The old Lee chuck, designed to be used in a drill press, was never perfect and required the use of multiple hand tools to do the same thing in one step. Well done Lee! I did 250 cases the first time, the vast majority of which required 6 to 8 turns - Remington and Fiocchi ("GFL") were the most consistent, FWIW with some up to 16 and a few more. The case nests have gotten just right - more than just polished, less than really "sharpened". The only snag was that it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out that the shorter (pistol) cases required removing the knurled washer. If this is important to you (left-handers?), you have to turn counterclockwise, otherwise the handle will unscrew from the shaft. As a result, this is not the most accurate instrument in the world. It is what it is and works as advertised.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
