I originally bought this for my 17 year old cat who just recently decided that she only wants to drink from the bathroom tap. I set it up as soon as it arrived, in less than 15 minutes. It was a breeze! I bought a different fountain at the same time, as I wasn't sure which one she'd like, so now I have two running. What we go thru for our pets! 😂So. I have this particular one in my bedroom and I can say unequivocally, and without a doubt. I can't hear a thing coming from it, except a teensy tiny trickle noise, but thats ONLY when my television is on mute and the room is completely silent. In other words. you won't hear this running AT ALL, until it's time to refill the water. Then you can use THAT as the indicator that a refill is due.First refill happened in 7 days, and by then it was starting to get rather loud, and the water level indicator was down to the "Min" water level line. Not bad for a full week. Super easy to disconnect the USB from the plug, and carry the unit to the sink, rinse out and refill. I'd say, if it bothers you, OR you're in a hurry. you can save yourself a *little* hassle (it's not really even a big thing tho) and you'd really only have to dismantle the unit every 4 weeks to scrub the individual pieces as recommended. and not every single time you refill.I gave this unit 5 stars for sheer convenience factor alone, even though the original, bossy intended recipient STILL demands to drink out of the bathroom tap. But my other two cats love it! 😸I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again in a hot New York Minute!On the plus side, I received an extra 6 month warranty, making it a full 18 months in all, and a free box of 6 filters, under separate cover that got here lightening fast. (Even though I purchased a box of 6 up front, so I now have PLENTY!) 🤭Their customer service department is wonderful and a joy to connect with via email.Final analysis? This product is worth every penny I spent on it, and you won't be disappointed! 👍
