Original Rating: I used this monitor for school and for work as I need two screens. This monitor worked satisfactorily (I would give it 3/4 stars) until a few months ago. It can be difficult to get it working at times (for some reason my laptop is taking a hell of a long time to recognize this monitor). Firstly, this monitor is not bright at all. If you try to use this in a well-lit room you will be disappointed. However, the brightness issues out of the box only got worse over time. I can no longer use this monitor in my brightly lit office (no direct reflections on the monitor, just in a bright room). Edge flare has also increased significantly in the past year, while flares appeared all over the monitor (I'm very careful with my electronics and wouldn't intentionally cause flare from pressure). last fun here. My USB-C port is not powerful enough for this monitor. So if you try to increase the brightness above about 70, the monitor will just shut down. I'm assuming this is an issue with my laptop so I won't slam that on the monitor, but nowhere in the manual or ad was this mentioned as a possibility. This is a pure service monitor. If you're trying to play video games or watch media and are looking for a quality experience, look elsewhere. If you want something cheap this will work and the build quality is a perfect 5/10. We're hoping to have it still running by the end of this year, but personally I'm not sure. _______________________ Update: Lepow contacted me about this review and offered me either a full refund or a replacement. That's very kind of them and wasn't expected as my warranty has expired. I've upgraded my rating from 2 to 4 stars for this gesture. I have decided on a replacement and will adjust my rating based on the performance of this replacement unit.
