They advertise this as a 10,000 lumen flashlight and I suspect that it is not. It is the brightest flashlight I have ever owned and I suspect it starts at 12,000 lumens and as time goes by and batteries don't hold as much of a charge, it will drop to the advertised 10,000. This flashlight is my new emergency light and is attached to my ditty bag for emergencies. Rechargable, extremely bright and very durable. I have not put it under water so cannot comment on the waterproof feature but I am extremely impressed with this light. it has 3 brightness levels and 2 emergency flashing modes all controlled by the same button. It comes with both a lanyard and a nice nylon case to store the light safely. Since the flashlight uses a standard mini-USB cord for charging, you do not need to store the cord with the flashlight. Most of us have 10-20 Mini-USB cords laying around the house and any of them can be used to recharge it, although I have yet to need to charge it back up after my initial charging. The battery in this light is insanely long lasting.
