Review on Enhance Internet Speed with TP-Link AC1200 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter (Archer T4U V1) by Indal Mandal ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

The adapter is paired with an ASUS RT-AC66U router. Purchasing idea: 1) taking advantage of the Wi-Fi standard: 8022022ac in speed; 2) watching IP TV over Wi-Fi, including channels with HD quality; 3) Taking advantage of the 5.0 GHz band. In my apartment at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, more than 20 networks are visible, there are no free non-overlapping channels + microwave interference. The adapter is connected to a laptop with Win 7, it is easily configured using the included disk. The laptop with the adapter connected gives an average speed test speed of 95/95Mbps for upload/download. The speed at the rate from the provider is 99 Mbps, i. E. speed loss is minimal. Without adapter, speed 35-40Mbps, Wi-Fi standard: 8022022n/g, 2.4GHz. The laptop is located 4 meters from the router through the 1st plaster wall. Connecting to different USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports does not affect the speed, there is no difference, the download and transfer speed is 95Mbps. Watching TV channels in HD goes without problems, but on some channels the picture crumbles from time to time. Most likely, the reason is not hardware, but a problem in the quality of the transmitted signal. TOTAL. I recommend buying an adapter. The quality is high, and the price is lower than similar adapters from ASUS - AC53 or AC56.

Pros
  • Stylish, good assembly, easy to set up, works stably according to the principle - turn it on, set it up and forget it
Cons
  • Rather large size, thick cable for connection, if not connected directly to the USB connector
