I had previously installed a similar unit with an attic fan but it had worn out over the years as the blades would bang against the locking pins and eventually get stuck in the open position. I sealed the blinds with duct tape but it was starting to look sticky. When I got the new unit I glued a small washer to each slat where it would make contact with the locking pin when opening, hoping to prevent the sticking problem in the future. Also, prior to installation, tape the screen to the back of the blind in case it gets stuck in the open position again for some reason. I was pleased with the ease of ordering and the speed of your delivery, however I believe as stated above this block needs strengthening as part of the production process.
