I really like this popcorn maker. Using coconut oil for the popcorn and very fine popcorn salt (found here at Revain - look up how to use it on YouTube), popcorn is pretty much identical to popcorn at the movies. The parts of this popcorn maker are fairly easy to clean with soap and water. I had no problems with the rotator, no scratches as one or two people have mentioned. I give it a low rating for durability. The plastic sleeve is quite thin so be careful with it when washing. I don't use it for serving - I pour the popcorn into a large bowl. I have a complaint about the way oil drips into the plastic cap. You will end up dripping moisture/oil from the outside of the popcorn maker onto the counter. This is done on each side of the popcorn where there are carrying handles. I always have to clean up the little mess it makes. It's worth it as the popcorn is great, but it also seems like a junior engineer designed the popcorn maker and it wasn't properly tested to properly direct moisture/oil back into the popper. However, I like it. It works and it's fast.
