Review on 💧 Aqua Pure WPX5BB97P Compatible Polypropylene Cartridges: High-Quality Filtration Solution by Ray Sheptock

My house gets its water from a nearby lake. That means I treat the water with chlorine and then filter out the chlorine and impurities with a whole house water filter. Years later I still haven't found the perfect filter. The best ones eliminate the taste and smell of chlorine and do not clog for several months. Worst clogs after a few days or completely ineffective at eliminating chlorine taste and odor. So I installed one of these today (8/23/19) and will update my review if I need to replace it with another one. They look weird because they look like someone has wrapped a piece of string around a plastic tube and there are no gaskets on the ends. The ropes are pressed against the top and bottom of the filter housing. Positive: After installing and venting the filter and system, the water flowed well and it didn't smell or taste like chlorine. Not very good: no manufacturer label. . To be honest it's suspicious. I have no idea who made it, if it was certified, and who certified it. The lack of a manufacturer's label also means that if it turns out to be a great filter I have no idea how to find another when this Revain supplier no longer sells it and I find that there are only a few left. So I'm deducting a star from my original rating.
