I recently upgraded to a GTX 1080 Ti FE. The adapter that came with the card is a passive adapter not an active adapter that goes from DisplayPort to DVI It doesn't work with my QNIX QX2710 1440p display Luckily I had a Monoprice adapter that works The only problem is the DVI-D cable that I used, some strange flickering thin lines appear on the left side of the monitor and ran across the screen. The lines varied in size, up to about 2.5 cm wide, mostly green and sometimes purple (red?). These lines usually appeared when there were darker areas of what I was looking at, I need anything that long, but mostly just in case I'm a decent length. THIS CABLE WORKS! It's incredible. Connected one end to the monitor, the other to the active adapter, and then to DisplayPort. The GPU and Windows recognized it immediately. No noise, no interference, no lines, nothing. It works! The only downside (not related to the cables) is that I can no longer overclock my display and have to run it at 60Hz by default. I do not mind. I'd rather spend less than 10 euros on a cable than buy another display. This gives me time to save up for a better monitor with a higher refresh rate and/or higher resolution.
