I used this kit to replace the timing belt on my 2006 VW Jetta TDi; BRM engine code. I bought a HEPU kit; as I think they are most suitable for 1.9l TDi engines. It works great, but you must use common sense when using these tools. The purpose of these tools is to hold things in place when you remove the belt. until you install a new belt. Keep an eye on the markers and take your time and you should be fine. Also; I didn't know you had to hold the tensioner on VW engines. I lost about 20 minutes trying to figure this out; until I saw the guy holding it while tightening the nut on the DIY video. Hope this helps someone. Of course; But changing the timing belt is quite a difficult task (not for a mechanic). Therefore, it is better to either hire an experienced mechanic to do this, or at least someone nearby to watch you at work.
