Computer network engineer, I also have an FCC license to repair electronic radios, I can tell you that I have used dozens of soldering iron tip re-tinning compounds, mainly used to remove oxidation and deposits, and I can tell you that I have tried have dozens of other brands that have been less than marginally effective. Solder and tip re-tinning/cleaning compositions. I would give this brand an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Invest a little money and you will be amazed! Yes in my opinion and many other PROFESSIONALS and similar ELECTRONICS REPAIR PERSONNEL! I tried this brand AND IT IS NOT EVERYBODY! I'm not used to making product reviews but after using this product I felt compelled ! The only thing that could improve it is a bigger size including the applicator brush! Sincerely, oh one more thing, like all solder and tip connections, the fumes are toxic and can come from dormancy.
