Pros

Reads even old and scratched discs that other drives cannot even recognize. MDISK support. Strict appearance, suitable for many cases. If there is no access to the optical drive, it automatically goes into sleep mode with reduced power consumption.

Cons

Noisy, but this applies to all drives, especially during the recording process.
