Review on Dell Computer Ultrasharp U2415 24 0 Inch 1920X1200P, 60Hz, Tilt Adjustment, Swivel Adjustment, Wall Mount, Flicker-Free, HDMI by Sean Fatherofgods

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great monitor, good aspect ratio, good colors. didn't work for my health problems.

PROS+ I bought this monitor mainly because of the 6:10 screen aspect ratio versus the current 6:9 aspect ratio trend. Why do you need a wider screen if you don't watch HD movies all the time, which I don't? Any software like Microsoft Word etc. has panels at the top that take up half the screen anyway, leaving you no room for the document you are working on. So Dell is perfect for that. + I also really like that the display rotates - it helps when you're editing photos in Photoshop or working on documents and want to view the entire page. + Very good workmanship, good stable stand. , the screen can be moved up and down. + Colors are great right out of the box compared to other modern LED monitors. but somehow not as good as my old Gateway HD2201 LCD monitor. I suspect that all LED backlit monitors have trouble displaying good colors. MINUS - obviously, as with other LED monitors - backlighting on the sides is visible, but not too bad. - no screen rotation software provided. WHY? It took me a whole week to figure out how it works. Found and installed free iRotate. But how easy would it be if they shipped software with this expensive monitor? - Since this monitor is expensive, I would like to be able to change the Hz frequency (it's always 60 Hz). I'm not a gamer, but I've found that my eyes hurt for some reason and get tired faster at a lower Hertz frequency. It's like I'm seeing some kind of flickering. - Monitor settings: I also didn't like how I had to control the buttons (below the screen, can't tell which represents which, had to press everywhere. LG and Samsung have a "joystick" which is much handier) nor the ones available Options (not many settings actually. The LG 24GM77 lets you adjust the hue and saturation for 6 colors. AOC has good options too). Finally (and this is not a common problem, I think I'm lucky 5% :) ) - about 2 years ago I developed some sort of allergic reaction to my old Gateway LCD monitor. I started getting pains in my chest, sore throat and sore throat, my ear hurt. I did not immediately understand that it came from the monitor. I've been to different doctors for months - nothing. But then at some point I noticed that the symptoms intensified when I sat in front of the monitor. Of course I had to become sensitive to (electromagnetic?) radiation. Regarding this issue, ASUS VX248H was better, Samsung S27E390H was better, but Dell made my symptoms worse. Eventually, for health reasons (eye strain and allergy symptoms), I returned the monitor and bought the LG24GM77. It helped me.
