Review on πŸ” Genuine Honda 25430 PLR 003 Transmission Filter for Enhanced SEO by Geoff Foster

Suitable for 2013 Honda Fit Sport.

Ideal for Honda Fit 2013 Sport. Some of the videos I saw said the battery box and tray should be removed as the filter is on the bottom. On my fit, the filter was mounted on the transmission just behind the battery box, so you only have to remove the battery and positive terminal, not the compartment. You'll also need to remove the air intake assembly, which is just a couple of screws, a sensor connector and a steel air hose, and loosen the main clamp around the throttle body, tilt the right side back and pull forward to get it out. You can then easily see and swap out that filter. It has two pliers and a metal mounting bracket with a 10mm screw to hold it in place. Tip 1. Disconnect the front clip closest to you before removing the filter clip as it is easy to pull on the hose to remove it this way. . Once this hose is removed remove the clamp and you will then have better access to the rear hose which can be removed. I placed the filter on the rear hose and poured a few ounces of fresh Honda transmission oil into the filter before attaching the final hose. I figured it was a passive filter so it shouldn't be under extreme pressure, but make sure the hose clamps are tight and the hose is fully taut. Check for leaks after a few days just to be sure. I didn't notice any difference when shifting gears, but that's actually a good thing as it didn't affect the gearbox before the change. . That's the idea of preventive maintenance. Either way, it's worth it if you're a shade tree mechanic and want to save a few hundred euros at the dealer.
