Review on Junglewood Rope Chime Cylinder Block by Donna Colbert

Really good product for small birds.

Well done. Quality replacement parts. My birds love cleaning rope and chewing wood. If you have feather pickers like me, you need a constant source of distraction so your birds have at least one body feather. Through years of trial and error I have found that a combination of wood and rope is perfect for this. The toy lasts longer (compared to your bird, of course) because it's a one-stop shop for everything from chopping wood to cleaning rope. You can easily destroy both of them! It hasn't cured any of my birds; find something that does for those prone to self-destruction; but it shortens it, which is sometimes the only hope for it. To get the most out of rope toys, I keep them clean and well-groomed. I use a wire brush to remove bonus items like feces or food. As the bottom of the rope wears out, I keep cutting it so it will last longer. If you don't do any of these things, you'll end up with a messy, tangled mess that you'll have to throw out sooner or later. This toy doesn't use long ropes, so it doesn't last long. others that can be cut and connected will extend the life of the toy. If your bird likes to destroy the tree, the ropes will fall off anyway. When they miraculously destroy the ropes in front of the tree, just fill in the rope part of the toy using the existing holes in the top block. And, phew! She is like new. If wood comes first but the rope is still in good condition, I usually just clean it up (if needed) and tie the rest to the perch or cage rail so it lasts as long as possible. A combination toy made of wood and rope will last longer than the same toy made separately. I have two and plan to buy more if needed. One of the best wooden/rope toys for small birds.
