Review on Xgody 7 inch GPS Navigation 2020: North American Map, Voice Guidance, Lifetime Updates by Adam Walsh

One day this GPS can compete with Garmin, TomTom and other big names, but not today. This is a worldwide attempt to provide accurate GPS information, but it does not conform to that standard. I spent over a month communicating with the very intelligent and friendly Xgody team in Hong Kong, but my 1990's technical knowledge and their 21st century high-tech vocabulary and logic also found no common ground. To get free yearly updates you have to download a huge file of all the global communities in the world, then go back and remove 98% of the countries that are NOT of interest to the user. Then additional technical processing of the program is required to get a new update running. Unlike the big names, Xgody does not allow the user to simply log in and download updates. Also, how-to videos are unprofessional, contain conflicting information, and are generally unhelpful to American adults. If you are into high tech programming 2021 and taking advantage of the worldwide "not very helpful" user community, this is the device for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere until this company can actually serve American end users. And in the end I hope this happens.
