Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance Engine Performance with AEM 28-20438 DryFlow Air Filter by Tim Wilske

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like dry filters instead of oiled ones every day of the week

I like Revain's question. "Easy install?" In this case yes, but I've had other cars where the stock airbox design was crazy to pull the filter out. Luckily Toyota made it easy! I'm a fan of dry filters. I have used both AEM and AFe, which I have between these two manufacturers, in three vehicles. Keeps everything clean and washable. I have one that has been in my car for over 6 years and is still in good condition. I've used others that are oiled and seen people use foam filters. Both have their own problems. Or oil gets into the intake tract and possibly into the air mass meter. There is never a good mix. The foam quickly becomes contaminated and deteriorates fairly quickly. The problem is that bits and then dirt get where they shouldn't. Do I expect an increase in performance or fuel economy? No, I'm not waiting. In this case, for me that means replacing the regular paper filter with something better and it will last until the end of time while I own the car.

Cons
