Very useful and inexpensive hard disk
This is a great solution to a common problem. I recently upgraded my laptop to one that doesn't have a floppy drive. This is the case with most new laptops. I still have a few CDs and DVDs in my collection that I want to make more accessible from my computer, so I use them to rip to my new computer. Very efficient and convenient, it works like a plug and play device with no software or drivers to download!
