Not suitable for all applications

I have Bought this to separate the outer tie rod ends and the top ball joints, but it doesn't reach, doesn't open far enough. I work with Dodge, Ram and Jeep vehicles so this is not the best option for those vehicles. The only thing that made it great was the tensioner linkage where it attaches to the Chrysler 300's knuckle.
