This board is a great deal that can instantly transform your HP 4100 into an HP 4100n. I installed this in an older HP LaserJet 4100 so I can connect a printer to my router and print from any computer on my network. After installing the card, I connected it to the internet and did a "cold reset" of the printer (see instructions on YouTube). Manually installed the printer on each computer on my network using the IP address listed on the EIO 2 - Jet Direct printout. Problems with PS class printer driver loaded automatically by Win 10. Got to the HP website and downloaded the latest LaserJet 4100 PCL 6 printer driver. Reinstalled the printer using the HP PCL 6 setup file. PS class printer uninstalled and done The PCL 6 printer is the default printer on every computer on the network. My HP 4100 now prints faster to client computers than when connected to any of the computers on my network. Also, the computer it was previously connected to should no longer be able to share the printer.
