Great gloves for the chef on fire! I love cooking, baking and everything else in the kitchen. I'm very picky about my oven mitts and I've been through so much over the years that I've lost track. I usually get a small tear in my glove and don't notice it until I take something out of the oven and burn myself. I've also had issues with short kitchen gloves not reaching far enough and burning the top of my wrist when pulling larger items out of the oven. I found them about 2 months ago, read the reviews and thought the price was great. so i got some. Wow! That's great! But I have to admit I was skeptical at first. They are so light I wasn't sure they would stand up to my kitchen torture. I waited to write a review until I was sure how well they would hold up. They weigh about 6 ounces each so are very light. They have a nice quilted interior that feels really comfortable when you slide your hand in instead of feeling like silicone against your skin. I appreciate it very much. They bend and flex easily, making it easier to grip items from pots and pans to casserole dishes. But you won't burn yourself on a light and thin material either! I was skeptical here. I was so worried that something this thin wouldn't protect me, but damn I was wrong! They work great! The length is also perfect and protects my wrist and hand when taking things out of the oven. They're also great for my heavy cast iron pans. Cast iron can be very heavy and can sometimes be handled with two hands. They're great for that. My husband has been known to steal things from my kitchen and smuggle them to his grill. He said they actually work on the grill too. This makes them suitable for large hands that grill a lot at the same time. I think I know what I'm getting him for his birthday! All photos were taken today, after 2 months of use. They still look like new! I really like these gloves and so glad I won't burn myself again. I would highly recommend them and will be ordering another set for our camper and my husband!
