The mittens are blown

I was so happy when I received them yesterday - they are very long and comfortable. They are said to be heat resistant up to 450 degrees and having used silicone gloves in the past I figured I would be fine. Imagine my surprise (and horror) when I pulled a full baking sheet out of the oven and almost dropped it out of the pan, burning my fingers with those mittens on. I think that the calorific value is really far from the actual resistance value. Send back.

Best oven mitts I've ever had

I live in a place that really doesn't have any restaurants or takeaways so I cook 3 meals a day 365 days a year so my oven mitts become quite a bit Work. I've tried so many different brands it's ridiculous (don't get me started with the crap that Rachel Ray Brand is spouting, it's complete crap). These were the best I've ever used! The perfect gift for everyone you care about.

I LOVE them. I always grab hot stuff and never burn myself again. Cast iron is very heavy and difficult to move quickly, so you really need a mitt that can stay in contact with the heat for over 30 seconds. Those tricks. My daughter is a chef and she eyes them and will steal them just because of the great fun color and because then she can throw out all those old cloth towels that are really unprofessional, don't work and get dirty. Awesome DURABLE, SAFE, machine washable oven mitts and AWESOME SNOW SCRATCHERS!

This is an excellent product. I am updating my rating after two years of use. Those potholders have saved hands from burns more times than I know. The long cuffs now have burn lines where they protected hands from the hot elements of the electric fryer, but the double-lined canvas cuffs are still intact and fully usable. Lightweight and very durable!

Great gloves for the chef on fire! I love cooking, baking and everything else in the kitchen. I'm very picky about my oven mitts and I've been through so much over the years that I've lost track. I usually get a small tear in my glove and don't notice it until I take something out of the oven and burn myself.
